In Play Golf, you can get all 4 pin locations on every hole regardless of teebox. The 2 pin locations per teebox are always the same and are randomly decided, so effectively you have a 50/50 chance at each pin. Each teebox will give a subset of 2 out of the 4 possible pin locations that exist on each hole, generally getting more difficult as the tees themselves become more difficult (championship tees = two most difficult pin locations). Pin locations: In Solo Challenge, the pin locations on each hole are dependent on which club set you're using on a character, as that determines which tee you play from. There is no visual indicator for the different lies as there was in previous titles (i.e., dirt under the ball on fairway or taller grass models in Toadstool Tour) except that the risk areas-red zones-will be wider than they otherwise would be when you have a bad lie. Lies, Pin LocationsĮvery common surface, like fairway, fast fairway, rough and bunker, has two or more different lies. In Solo Challenge, the tee is dependent on which club set you're using on a character, and it will change both the teeshot accuracy as well as the subset of pin locations (2 possible out of 4, always the same 2 and randomly chosen between those 2) you can get on each hole. In every mode, teeboxes change the accuracy each player will get on their teeshot on each hole. See this guide for known tee shot accuracies on each course using the Super Star club set. This is the same for every character and club set, if the club set does not change the teebox automatically as it does in Solo Challenge. The accuracy is consistent and pre-determined, depending on which player slot (1-4, blue-green) you are and the following: teebox for teeshot pin location, surface type, lie, and weather (i.e., sandstorm, rain, thunderstorm) for the second shot and beyond. As of v2.0.0, accuracy everywhere in every mode has been completely randomized and is not dependent on anything that is controllable within an RTA setting. Note: the following paragraph for accuracy is only true on v1.0 and v1.1 of the game.
